- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I had an appointment with the vet last week for a physical on my 7year old Maltese Poodle at Royal City Animal Hospital. The vet did an eye check and informed us he has cataracts. The vet referred us to a Opthalmolgist for $330.00 dollar bill on top of the other vet bills that day. Hearing this news stressed and saddened us as animal lovers should. I figured I would get a second opinion and took my dog to Guelph Lake Veterinary Hospital. I thought since my dog is to young to get cataracts. Might be something else like diabetes causing the cataracts if he does have them. The vet (Scott) did the tests required to find out if he has diabetes or cataracts. The results came back negative for both tests. We we're so relieved. I would highly recommend Royal City Guelph Lake Veterinary Hospital to take your pets for veterinarian problems or concerns.by MarkMarch 07, 2017
